Proper Attire:
Your farm tour at Morning Moon Alpacas will take place completely outside. Students and chaperones should wear clothing that is suitable for the day’s weather. Closed-toe shoes are a must. Also, there are farm dogs and occasionally mud, so clothing may get dirty and/or wet.
Safety:
Farm tour attendees will not actually enter the working farm (unless special arrangements are made in advance). For safety sake you will observe the farm from behind a fence. Alpacas will be caught-up and on the other side of the fence. They will be brought to the visitors by trained farm staff that will provide education about the proper techniques for interacting with an actual alpaca. (Yes, you will get to touch a live alpaca.)
Remember you will be visiting a farm. Attendees will come in contact with dust, straw, hay and other normal things found on a farm. Please review with attendees and parents about asthma or allergies to the above mentioned items as well as allergies to bees or insect bites.
Hand washing stations will be available for everyone to use when necessary
Inclement Weather:
A farm tour at Morning Moon Alpacas is a sunshine event only. Sadly, it isn’t much fun on the farm while it is raining. We will do the best we can with rescheduling your tour if you get rained out. We will be in contact with you as the forecast looms, and make the final decision by 7am of your date.

We reserve the right to ask anyone to leave who is disruptive to the program being conducted, or is disrespectful to alpacas or others.
- We are a working family farm first and foremost. We have yet to cancel a tour due to anything farm related, but we do reserve the right to cancel or adjust your tour package if a special event (like an alpaca being born) or an emergency arises. If for any reason we feel we will not be able to provide you with an enjoyable, educational experience we will reschedule you to an agreed upon date.
